Distance learning & Education is a very popular and versatile mode of studying. Many of us are deterred at the prospect of pursuing higher education study due to time and/or distance limitations. This is when the option of distance learning can assist our situation. It offers students access to high quality learning; delivered to their letterbox, email, or via virtual learning centres. With the use of new media technologies such as the internet, this method of distance learning is also known as online learning. Distance learning has been around for over 150 years. The first course offered via distance learning was in 1858 by the University of London External programme.
The following bullets represent the upsides of distance education at IIBT, traits that are beneficial to various types of learners. If any of these attributes could improve your college experience, you should consider getting enrolled in IIBT. Because when all is said and done, the only substantive difference between a campus education and distance education is the building.
Convenience
Distance education critics seem to share the idea that "convenient" is a negative word — that anything worth earning should be exhausting and barely manageable. They assume that people who ask about convenience are lazy or spending all day in their pajamas. But that's far from true. The Internet makes it possible to unite students and instructors without long commutes or fixed class schedules. Working professionals can study at night. Stay-at-home parents can study during kids' naptime. Military members can study from any new post to which they are assigned. None of these people are lazy or prone to cutting corners. On the contrary, they are busy, ambitious learners, who simply need a better education design to improve themselves. And because they are all good candidates for employment, employers are increasingly happy to accept their credentials.
Access for Rural Students
College students who live in major cities might choose to access campus programs. Thousands of other students simply cannot. Unless you live in a college town, the cost of commuting — in terms of time and fuel prices — can be prohibitive. Twenty years ago, students would have had to choose between moving their families, or getting by on with a diploma. Today, Distance education is removing geographic barriers.
Access for Students with Disabilities & Who have responsibilities at early stage of Life
Most traditional college classrooms aren't designed to accommodate students with disabilities. Distance Learning at IIBT, by contrast is engineered to support students with intellectual and physical.
At IIBT students who due to their family responsibilities were not able to study can complete their higher education at par with global standards. Our module of learning gives them the advantage that they would require to attain more heights in their professional career. It allows students to continue working and complete their higher education.
On Pace with the Future of Education
As we all know that the Government of India is investing more and more into the education sector and Distance Education is one of the important pillars of education in India. So it's apparent that tomorrow's students will be seeing more e-learning technology. And clearly, education authorities are recognizing the value of distance learning. Soon, more and more colleges will develop online distance learning programs to help stretch their budgets and expand their enrolments. It may one day be possible for students to choose specific courses from multiple schools, all across the globe, and build their own personalized profile; and with employers asking for personalized profiles from students Distance Learning seems to be a good option.
